What are the best revenue/publicity generating tricks you've come across?

Christmas photos? Rescue adoption fairs? Special bandanas? What creative ideas have you see, tried, or come up with to drum up business and publicity for your shop or kennel?

Im Game, well the old standby is work of mouth.  Every dog is a business card.  Think of the customers who come to get groomed because "We are going to the Vet tomorrow!"  Walk down the street, attend festivals (owners) with their pet.  The down side, if you mess up one of those dogs you might loose the whole group of friends.  Stay on top of this one.
